Pygmalion
The story is George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion (which later became My Fair Lady). The setting is 1860’s Paris, the first set was inspired by a restaurant in Sentimental Education.
These drawings were produced using Procreate and Vectorworks renders. A full packet of technical drawings is available for both sets.

In this scene, the heart broken main characters has just taken poison. In the book version, this scene takes place in an eccentric Corbusier/Mies van der Rohe-esque mansion, which I did my best to recreate below.
